Introduction

The Nikon D2X is a DX format (1.5x), 12.4 MP DSLR using the Nikon F mount. Designed for professionals needing a heavy-duty, high performance camera the D2X was first available in March 2005 as a replacement of the D1X and has since been replaced by the updated D2Xs in May 2006. It captures 12 bits/pixel at 5 fps at full resolution (4288 x 2848 pixels) and 8 fps with a unique High-Speed Crop mode at 6.9 mp (2x, 3216x2136 pixels). Build quality is bullet-proof.
