The Canon 1Ds mark II. What a beast, what a camera, I am now back with the top line Canons again. It reminds me so much of my T90. I was going to buy the 1DMkIIn with my redundancy money but got 5 weeks holiday pay too. The difference was enough to enable me to get the 1Ds2 and since I am turning my long time hobby into my profession I thought it was the best move to make. It is a heavy camera, even without the battery installed, but at least you know you have a robust, professional tool with you and it makes the perfect counterbalance for my lenses. It just feels so right. Some people complain that the user interface on a 1 series is awkward with having to press buttons while turning wheels but I prefer the unclutterd look to the body. I will probably add more to this when I really get to know the camera but for now, I'm off to shoot some rain. (Thank God the camera has good weather sealing).
